Kirsty has been practising martial, meditation and medical eastern arts for seven years after discovering that they helped her to deal with a highly stressful job at the time. Her continued interest in this field and realising that there were alternative forms of treatment to the western medicine, led her to re-train and she has recently graduated with a Diploma in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine from Xian Tian College of Chinese Medicine. The modules she studied included Acupuncture, Chinese medicine theory and diagnostics alongside treatments such as TuiNa medical massage, cupping and moxibustion.
The field of Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture looks at a patient as a whole, rather than as a series of isolated symptoms and addresses that person’s individual needs accordingly, with appropriate treatments and recommending lifestyle and dietary advice. Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture can be used to treat many areas including:
Depression, stress, anxiety
Women’s health including menopausal symptoms
Kirsty is a member of the Acupuncture Society and is licenced by Chester Council.
